Jesus - the firstborn

The bible calls Jesus the firstborn.
He is the first one resurrected from
the dead

The letter to the Colossians 1:18
"And he is the head of the body, the
church; he is the beginning and the
firstborn from among the dead, so
that in everything he might have
the supremacy."

To be born is to belong to a family.
If Jesus is the firstborn, that hints
others where to come into the family
later on, of same nature.

2 letter of Pether 1:4
"Through these he has given us his
very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption in
the world caused by evil desires."

When we become what the bible call
"born again", our spirit is made alive;
as we by faith in Christ are instantly
made 100% rightious by the rightious-
ness Christ won for himself and offer
us - through his sinfree life and then
death on the cross.

This is the reason we can boldy pro-
claim God is our father and Jesus
our brother.

The letter to the Romans 8:15
"The Spirit you received does not
make you slaves, so that you live
in fear again; rather, the Spirit you
received brought about your
adoption to sonship. And by him
we cry, “Abba (Dad), Father.”

The letter to the Hebrews 2:10-11
"In bringing many sons and daugh-
ters to glory, it was fitting that God,
for whom and through whom every-
thing exists, should make the pion-
eer of their salvation perfect through
what he suffered. Both the one who
makes people holy and those who
are made holy are of the same
family. So Jesus is not ashamed to
call them brothers and sisters."

In ancient Israel it was the firstborn
that always inherited the father.
Jesus inherited God´s Kingdom.

But being in Christ and being one
with Christ - as we actually died and
resurrected with him in the baptizm -
we are now co-heirs with Jesus;

The book of Romans 8:17
Now if we are children, then we are

heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with
Christ, if indeed we share in his suff-
erings in order that we may also
share in his glory.

To follow Jesus is to follow closely
in the footsteps of our bigbrother.
He the head is in heaven, and we are
actually his body on earth, and are to
act as per the head acted and tell us
to act, in accordance with the
scriptures.

We follow him in "wet and dry", just
like the marriage words "to love in
both need and lust";

The gospel of John 6:66-69
From this time many of his disciples
turned back and no longer followed
him. “You do not want to leave too,
do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord,
to whom shall we go? You have the
words of eternal life. We have come
to believe and to know that you are
the Holy One of God.”

1 letter of Pether 2:21
To this you were called, because
Christ suffered for you, leaving
you an example, that you should
follow in his steps.
