I saw a comment:
"Think for yourself, don´t be a sheep."
I guess it is some clever guy who tries
to find a reason to not be a sheep in
Sheep follow the good shepherd,
a false shepherd´s voice they follow
not, says the Scriptures in John 10:4-5.
That tells me sheep are intelligent.
They use their gathered knowledge
and their intelligence, but then they
also have an open ear to the voice
of the shepherd, the Lord..;
because sheep are on the ground,
but the Lord, by his Holy Spirit, is
hovering above the flock like an
eagle; he sees everything in front
that the sheep do not see.
So the sheep live longer and safer
than the stubborn that goes astray.
Read Psalms 23 / The Good Shepherd
It is a very prophetic bible passage
for this years September coming up,
to meditate on during the Jewish
feasts period; Rosh Hashanah, 10 days
of Awe and Youn Kippur.
Before David became King David, a
world ruler, he had his training (by
God) with his fathers sheep-herd out
in the wilderness. He killed bears &
lions with his hands if neccessary, to
keep the sheep safe; Good shepherd.
And this psalm is by David..
Psalm 23 (The Bible, OT)
A psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
(the sound of) your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Swedish translation /Svensk översättning:
Psalm 23 (Psaltaren, Bibeln GT)
En psalm av David.
HERREN är min herde, mig ska inget fattas,
han låter mig vila på gröna ängar;
han för mig till vatten där jag finner ro,
han vederkvicker min själ;
han leder mig på rätta vägar,
för sitt namns skull.
Om jag ock vandrar i dödsskuggans dal,
fruktar jag inget ont,
för du är med mig;
(ljudet av) din käpp och stav,
de tröstar mig.
Du bereder för mig ett bord
i mina ovänners åsyn;
du smörjer mitt huvud med olja
och låter min bägare rinna över.
Endast godhet och nåd ska följa mig
i alla mina livsdagar,
och jag ska åter få bo i HERRENS hus,
för evigt.
