Is this just a funny joke, or a matter of appreciation. Or can it
be prophetic?

Recently there was a similar gathering, at that time with
journalists, where the entire hall was very exalted over
Obama and gave him standing praises. And Obama even
mentioned, like as a joke, a third term.

It is almost like he is testing what the reaction would be if
he would claim to stay in charge. Hes popularity has grown
a lot over the last year/s. One can wonder if it is because of
his outstanding charm, or actually because of what he
accomplished.
