Rut´s Bok i Bibeln - Rut´s val.

Bakgrund
Ruts bok i Gamla Testamentet i bibeln handlar om en kvinna, Noomi, som bor med sin man och sina två söner i Israel. Under en tid kommer svår hungersnöd över landet och hela familjen flyttar till Moabs land öster om Döda havet, i nuvarande Jordanien.
Efter en tid dör Elimelek, Noomis man. Noomi lever kvar i Moab med sina två söner Kiljon och Mahelon. Sönerna skaffar sig moabitiska fruar, Orpa och Rut. Efter ytterligare en tid dör även Noomis två söner.
Noomi vill vända åter till Israel
Vid denna tid börjar Noomi planera för att vända åter till Israel. Hon har hört att läget nu är bättre i Israel, det är inte längre hungersnöd;
Rut 1:6
Då stod hon upp med sina sonhustrur för att vända tillbaka från Moabs land; för hon hade hört i Moabs land att HERREN hade sett till sitt folk och gett det bröd.
Men när de börjat vända åter tänker Noomi på sina sonhustrur och vill underlätta ett beslut för dem att stanna kvar i sitt land Moab. Det framgår längre ner i texten att Noomi känner skuld inför dem för de olyckor som drabbat Noomi och hennes sonhustrur;
Rut 1:8-9
Vänd om och gå hem igen, var och en till sin mor. HERREN bevise godhet mot er, så som ni har gjort mot de båda döda och mot mig. HERREN ge er att ni må finna ro, var i sin mans hus.” Därefter kysste hon dem,..
Båda kvinnorna protesterar först, men Noomi står på sig i sitt resonemang;
Rut 1:10-13
..de brast ut i gråt och sa till henne: ”Nej, vi vill följa med dig tillbaka till ditt folk.” Men Noomi svarade: ”Vänd om, mina döttrar. Varför skulle ni gå med mig? Kan väl jag ännu en gång få söner i mitt liv, vilka kan bli män åt er? Vänd om, mina döttrar, och gå hem, för jag är nu för gammal att överlämna mig åt en man. Och om jag ändå kunde tänka: ’Jag har ännu hopp’, ja, om jag också redan i natt överlämnade mig åt en man och så verkligen födde söner, inte skulle ni därför vänta, tills de hade blivit fullvuxna, inte skulle ni därför stänga er inne och förbli utan män? Bort det, mina döttrar! Jag känner redan bedrövelse nog för er skull, eftersom HERRENS hand så har drabbat mig.”..
Ruts sonhustrur gör olika livsval
Noomi´s utläggning väcker många känslor. Båda Orpa och Rut faller i gråt. Orpa tar till slut avsked av Noomi. Men inom Rut finns en övertygelse som får henne att ta ett annat beslut. Hon argumenterar med en sådan övertygelse att Noomi slutar att försöka övertala henne;
Rut 1:14-18
Då brast de åter ut i gråt. Och Orpa kysste sin svärmor till avsked, men Rut höll sig fortfarande intill henne. Då sa hon: ”Se, din svägerska har vänt tillbaka till sitt folk och till sin gud; vänd också du tillbaka och följ din svägerska.” Men Rut svarade: ”Försök inte intala mig att överge dig och vända tillbaka ifrån dig. För dit du går vill jag också gå, och där du stannar vill jag också stanna. Ditt folk är mitt folk, och din Gud är min Gud. Där du dör vill jag också dö, och där vill jag bli begravd. HERREN straffa mig nu och framöver, om något annat än döden kommer att skilja mig från dig. Då hon (Noomi) nu såg att denna stod fast i sitt beslut att gå med henne, upphörde hon att tala om detta med henne.
Noomi går så tillbaka till sitt land tillsammans med Rut.
Rut möter Boas
Noomi har i Israel en manlig släkting på sin man Elimeleks sida, som heter Boas. Boas är välbärgad och han är ensamstående. Allt detta är Rut ovetande om, när hon av en händelse går ut på en av Boas åkrar för att plocka ax och Boas kommer förbi;
Rut 2:5-7
Och Boas frågade den bland tjänarna, som hade uppsikt över skördemännen: ”Vem tillhör den unga kvinnan där?” Tjänaren som hade uppsikt över skördemännen svarade och sade: ”Det är en moabitisk kvinna, den kvinna som med Noomi har kommit hit från Moabs land. Hon bad att hon skulle få plocka och hopsamla ax bland kärvarna, efter skördemännen;..
Boas tar kontakt med Rut och visar henne stor omsorg och inte så lite intresse. När Rut senare kommer hem till Noomi och berättar vad hon varit med om blir Noomi mycket uppmuntrad och berättar för Rut om vem Boas är, att han är en släkting till henne. Noomi lägger sen upp en plan för hur Rut ska hantera relationen med Boas;
Rut 3:1-5
Och hennes svärmor Noomi sa till henne: ”Min dotter, jag vill söka skaffa dig ro, för att det ska gå dig väl. Så lyssna: Boas, med vilkens tjänarinnor du har varit tillsammans, är ju vår frände. Och just i natt kastar han korn på sin tröskplats. Så tvätta dig nu och smörj dig och klä dig, och gå ner till tröskplatsen. Men gör så att mannen inte får se dig, förrän han har ätit och druckit. När han då lägger sig, så se efter var han lägger sig, och gå dit och lyft upp täcket vid hans fötter och lägg dig där; han ska då själv säga dig vad du bör göra.” Hon svarade: ”Allt vad du säger vill jag göra.”
Rut följer sin svärmors råd;
Rut 3:6-13
Och hon gick ned till tröskplatsen och gjorde precis som hennes svärmor hade sagt henne. För när Boas hade ätit och druckit, så att hans hjärta blev glatt, och sen han hade gått och lagt sig invid sädeshögen, kom hon oförmärkt och lyfte upp täcket vid hans fötter och la sig där. Vid midnattstiden blev mannen uppskrämd och böjde sig framåt och fick då se en kvinna ligga vid hans fötter. Och han sa: ”Vem är du?” Hon svarade: ”Jag är Rut, din tjänarinna. Bred ut din mantelflik över din tjänarinna, för du är min bördeman.” Då sade han: ”Välsignad vare du av HERREN, min dotter! Du har nu gett ett större bevis på din kärlek än förut, därigenom att du inte har sprungit efter unga män, vare sig fattiga eller rika. Så var nu inte rädd, min dotter; allt vad du säger ska jag göra dig. För allt folket i min stad vet att du är en rättskaffens kvinna. Nu är det visserligen sant att jag är din bördeman; men en annan bördeman finns, som är närmare än jag. Stanna nu kvar i natt; om han i morgon vill ta dig efter börderätt, gott, må han då göra det, så sant HERREN lever. Ligg nu kvar ända till morgonen.”
Boas börderätt
Boas vill ta till sig Rut som hustru, men det finns alltså ett regelverk kring detta som han inte kan kringgå; det finns en annan man som enligt börderätten står före i tur. Boas kallar på honom och 10 äldste i staden för att reda ut bördemansförhållandena;
Rut 4:5-6
Då sade Boas (till den bördeman som stod först i tur att välja): ”När du köper åkern av Noomis hand, då köper du den också av moabitiskan Rut, den dödes hustru, med skyldighet att uppväcka den dödes namn och fästa det vid hans arvedel. ”Bördemannen svarade: ”Då kan jag inte begagna mig av min börderätt, för jag skulle därmed fördärva min egen arvedel. Börda du åt dig vad jag skulle ha bördat, för jag kan icke göra det.”
Boas kan nu använda sig av sin turordning i börderätten och köpa det landstycke som tillhör Noomi och som varit fäst vid Noomis son Mahelons namn. Därvid "måste" han också ta till sig Rut, för att därmed uppväcka den döde Mahelons namn;
Rut 4:8-10
Så sade nu bördemannen till Boas: ”Köp du det”; och han drog därvid av sig sin sko (sedvänja). Då sade Boas till de äldste och till allt folket: ”Ni är i dag vittnen till att jag nu har köpt av Noomis hand allt vad som har tillhört Kiljon och Mahelon. Därjämte har jag också köpt moabitiskan Rut, Mahelons hustru, till hustru åt mig, för att uppväcka den dödes namn och fästa det vid hans arvedel, så att den dödes namn inte ska bli utrotat bland hans bröder eller ur porten till hans stad. Ni är i dag vittnen till detta.”
Rut 4:13-15
Så tog då Boas Rut till sig, och hon blev hans hustru, och han gick in till henne; och HERREN gav henne livsfrukt, och hon födde en son. Då sade kvinnorna till Noomi: ”Lovad vare HERREN, som i dag har så gjort, att det inte fattas dig en bördeman som ska få ett namn i Israel! Han ska bli en tröstare för dig och en försörjare på din ålderdom; för din sonhustru, som har dig kär, har fött honom, hon som är mer för dig än sju söner.”
Guds suveräna handlande
Berättelsen visar på Guds suveräna handlande, att han har allt i sin hand. Händelser som inte var i Guds plan, Noomis mans och söners död, får vara med att tjäna den levande Gudens syften. Berättelsen visar också på att Gud använde sig av en kvinna av hedniskt ursprung - som erkände sig till Noomis och Israels folk och Gud - för att möjliggöra Messias ankomst till jorden.
Vi vet att Jesus Kristus kom till jorden i rakt nedstigande led från David. Han kallas på flera ställen i bibeln också för Davids Son. Och ser man på Jesus släkttavla ända från Abraham, så visar den att David själv kom i rakt nedstigande led från Boas;
Matt 1:1-16
Detta är Jesu Kristi, Davids sons, Abrahams sons, släkttavla.
Abraham födde Isak, Isak födde Jakob, Jakob födde Judas och hans bröder; Judas födde Fares och Sara med Tamar, Fares födde Esrom, Esrom födde Aram; Aram födde Aminadab, Aminadab födde Naasson, Naasson födde Salmon; Salmon födde Boes med Rakab, Boes födde Jobed med Rut, Jobed födde Jessai; Jessai födde David, konungen, David födde Salomo med Urias’ hustru; Salomo födde Roboam, Roboam födde Abia. Abia födde Asaf; Asaf födde Josafat, Josafat födde Joram, Joram födde Osias; Osias födde Joatam, Joatam födde Akas, Akas födde Esekias; Esekias födde Manasses, Manasses födde Amos, Amos födde Josias; Josias födde Jekonias och hans bröder, vid den tid då folket blev bortfört i fångenskap till Babylonien. Sedan folket hade blivit bortfört i fångenskap till Babylonien, födde Jekonias Salatiel, Salatiel födde Sorobabel; Sorobabel födde Abiud, Abiud födde Eljakim, Eljakim födde Asor; Asor födde Sadok, Sadok födde Akim, Akim födde Eliud; Eliud födde Eleasar, Eleasar födde Mattan, Mattan födde Jakob; Jakob födde Josef, Marias man, och av henne föddes Jesus, som kallas Kristus.
Rut och Orpa, förebilder av hednaförsamlingens olika beslut
Det här säger oss att Ruts orubbliga beslut att "Noomis folk är mitt folk och Noomis Gud är min Gud" ledde till att Noomis släkt kunde "återuppväckas" genom att hennes släkting Boas, som var hustru- och barnlös, fick till hustru Rut som varit Noomis sonhustru. Genom detta uppväcktes Noomis son Mahelons namn. Och så förblev den släkttavla ur vilken Jesus senare skulle bringas till jorden intakt.
Kvinnan Rut är en profetisk förebild av den del av den hednakristna församlingen som bekänner sin tillhörighet med och sitt ursprung ur Israel, och Israels Gud. Kvinnan Orpa är en bild av den del av församlingen som väljer att inte stå med Noomis folk och Noomis Gud, utan som när det verkligen gäller vänder tillbaka till sitt folks gudar.
Jag skulle vilja uttrycka det som att en del av församlingen, förebildad i Rut, älskar Guds Ord, är lydig Gud, vandrar i biblisk tro och ställer sig i det profetiska skeende och flöde som verkar till att bringa Jesus Kristus åter till vår jord. Den andra delen av församlingen ödmjukar sig inte och frågar inte efter Guds vilja, utan tror sig själv om att kunna utläsa vad som är rätt och fel vad gäller Guds planer i t ex mellanöstern konflikten och hans planer med judarna och Israel.
Kan man verkligen utläsa så mycket ur denna berättelse, är det inte att dra det lite för långt? Jag vill påminna om att det redan finns andra händelser likt denna i bibeln, som också blivit tydligt utförklarade. En av dem kan vi följa i en utläggning av Paulus, det är en berättelse som visar sig ha vital betydelse i förståelsen av frälsningsbudskapet och rättfärdiggörelsen. Det gäller Paulus undervisning om Abraham, Hagar och Sara. Gud uppenbarar genom Paulus undervisning att denna rent historiska berättelse även har en djupare innebörd. Båda kvinnorna motsvarar enligt Paulus var sitt förbund, där den ena kvinnans barn föds till träldom under lagen, medan den andra kvinnans barn föds in i löftesförbundet.
Såsom Rut, en kvinna kommen ur ett hednafolk, i denna historiska berättelse blir ett redskap till att i ett mycket kritiskt läge bevara Jesu släkttavla obruten så att Jesus varande Guds Messias kunde födas till jorden - så är vi kristna utanför Israel kallade att som hedna-församling "stå med Noomi", med Israel, välsigna och beskydda nationens och folkets väg i en profetisk tid av upprättelse, och därigenom vara med och bereda väg för Jesus Messias andra ankomst, profeterad om i skriften.

Healing in The Atonement
Word shared in a church in India on Feb 10 2018
Introduction
Today I am going to teach on what Jesus did - his ministry
while on earth.
And in particular I will touch the healing part - God´s heart
for bringing healing and restoration.
I will show that what Jesus worked, was all based on his
later salvation work on the cross which were yet to come.
It can be good to know that the base word which is translated
salvation in the bible includes both the soul salvation and
healing (for soul and body).

I first want to make a flashback to the time of ancient Israel,
where much of what were happening actually were shadow
pictures of Jesus ministry and his work on the cross, and are
for our teaching.
Israel and salvation
When God wanted to put things in order again after Adams fall
in the garden, and send his Messiah, he was looking for a man
to start with, and found Abraham.
Some generations after Abraham, his descendants left their land
of Kaanan and went down to Egypt, this was due to a severe
drought.
In Egypt they were first treated well because of Joseph´s recent

Pharaoh was hard at heart, did not want to let the Jews leave.
Moses challenged Faraoh by mighty miracles and acts of
judgment.
Eventually, after Egypt experienced severe suffering, Faraoh had
had it - and let the people of Israel go.
The people of Israel left Egypt by passing the Red Sea, and in
front went Moses. It was all a mighty miracle performed by Moses;
when he stretched out his rod and split the sea in two to make a
way through.
By then, Pharaoh had regreted the let-go of Israel and followed
them trough the sea. But - God let the Egyptian army drown by
that the water turned back.
The apostle Paul summarizes this story in one of his letters;
1 Cor 10:1-4
For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our
ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.
They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the
same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the
spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.
The bible tells us that this historical happening is a shadow picture

Jesus, and the people represents the Church (if you read the book
of Hebrews you get it clear).
So they were "baptized to Moses" in the Red Sea. By that they
were delivered from past slavery. It was Moses that opened "an
impossible way" (to be compared with the cross).
And when on the other side of the sea; God sent his glory cloud
over the people, a foreshadow of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Let us read one more word about this deliverance, from;
Ps 105:37
"Then he (God) brought them out with silver and gold, and among His tribes
there was not one who stumbled (no feeble person - svag, matt, sjuk)."
The number of people leaving Egypt was 600.000 men + their
family members. And, here it comes: amazingly the bible tells
us that among them noone were stumbling.
The bible should not state this if there were not many stumbling
just before the exodus - due to the very rough slavery yoke
under Egypt.
God actually made miracles with everyone that needed it. And,
observe; it was connected to the very beginning; the salvation
out of Egypt. They even got riches from Egypt, like "you get
whatever you want, if you just leave.."
This is more than a hint; healing is a natural blessing in the
New covenant, for which this is a shadow picture - The new
covenant in Jesus Christ.
Jesus was made a curse - that we would be blessed.
The Church and salvation
It is my absolute conviction that healing is a blessing within the
New covenant. We have become children of God - he is our
Father. We as fathers want our childrens best.
Just like we never doubt that salvation in Jesus Christ is for
anyone - we should not doubt that healing is part of the
covenant as well.
Actually the New Testament is very clear on this in the gospels
about Jesus ministry;
Luke 6:19
"..and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from
him and healing them all."
Matt 8:16-17
"When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to
him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

Matthew here refers to that all this happened to fulfill prophecy
from the Old Testament, about a coming Messiah, Isaiah 53.
Matt 53:3
"He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, familiar
with pain."
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered
him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our
iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds
we are (being) healed."
Interesting that this word says "yet we considered him..". This
means we can have "our theology" about Jesus and about the
scope of what Jesus did on the cross, but is it biblical?
Firstly: Jesus was pierced for our transgressions, which is very
important for your soul´s eternal salvation.
Without the forgiveness from your sin, through Jesus, where he
shed his blood on the cross, you and I are eternally lost.
He did it for us because he loves us. He is waiting for you to
recieve him as your Lord and Saviour.
Secondly: What we mainly touch today; by his wounds we are
also being healed.
We have a text referring to Isaiah 53 in one of Peter´s letters;
1 Pet 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die
to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
This is a text after the cross, looking back. Here it says that
we have been healed by his wounds.
An interesting Old Testament referral, which as a shadow-
picture connects healing to the cross, is when God told Moses
to raise a stand with a copper snake attached to it.
The people were asked to look up to the copper snake to get
healed. They were NOT asked to beg God to heal - as healing
was namely already deposited; they just had to look at the
copper snake, and realize healing was given (4 Mos 21:8-9).
For me the teaching until know is enough to state 100% that
healing is included in the atonement.
The most important is to be saved. That we accept Jesus
as our saviour and belong to him for eternity.
But that shall not keep us from receiving healing which God
wants to give us all.
We want our children to be healed if they are sick. If we
can get them healed on natural way, we don´t ask God
first if it is ok - do we? We think it is selfevident.
How much more loving parents are we compared to God?
Are we more loving than him?
The Bible is full of "overstatements" saying everyone was
healed, he healed them all, everyone that touched him
got healed etc.
God´s Kingdom
Jesus said that healing is a sign of that God´s Kingdom,
God´s ruling, has come. So, what Jesus said and performed
were signs of God´s Kingdom that were now to usher in;
Luk 11:20
"But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom

to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
This is a text after the cross, looking back. Here it says that
we have been healed by his wounds.
An interesting Old Testament referral, which as a shadow-
picture connects healing to the cross, is when God told Moses
to raise a stand with a copper snake attached to it.
The people were asked to look up to the copper snake to get
healed. They were NOT asked to beg God to heal - as healing
was namely already deposited; they just had to look at the
copper snake, and realize healing was given (4 Mos 21:8-9).
For me the teaching until know is enough to state 100% that
healing is included in the atonement.
The most important is to be saved. That we accept Jesus
as our saviour and belong to him for eternity.
But that shall not keep us from receiving healing which God
wants to give us all.
We want our children to be healed if they are sick. If we
can get them healed on natural way, we don´t ask God
first if it is ok - do we? We think it is selfevident.
How much more loving parents are we compared to God?
Are we more loving than him?
The Bible is full of "overstatements" saying everyone was
healed, he healed them all, everyone that touched him
got healed etc.
God´s Kingdom
Jesus said that healing is a sign of that God´s Kingdom,
God´s ruling, has come. So, what Jesus said and performed
were signs of God´s Kingdom that were now to usher in;
Luk 11:20
"But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom
of God has come upon you."
Matt 4:23
"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, pro-

Healing examples in Jesus ministry
If someone believes that God is mighty and able, but doubt
his will is to heal, maybe because you feel sinful, or you
are the cause to your bad situation - here is the Word from
God to you;

are willing, you can make me clean. Jesus was indignant (upset) . He
reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said.
“Be clean!”.
The power seem to have been switched on in Jesus ministry

When he heard it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus,
Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the
more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!
”Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.”
Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road..
The blind man´s friends or neighbours had the wrong view of
Jesus - that we shall not disturb this high ranked rabbi.
But Bartimeus had got the chance of his life, he was not going
to miss it! His faith ignored what others would think.
Jesus had time for this man, and rather encourages his
"stubborn" behavior, and calls it by name - faith !
Special cases?
When we read the bible we see that people got touched directly
by God. It was not about to sit and wait, and all got healed.
There is one single passage in the bible where it says that Jesus
could perform almost no miracles in his hometown.
This was due to the massive unbelief. The people view him as
"Joseph´s son" and did not discern the God-calling on his life.
There is one case where Jesus prayed twice, and the man´s sight
got partly better and better until he had full sight.
There is also the case with Lazarus. Jesus heard rumours that
Lazarus was sick. But he waited to go there even until Lazarus
was dead;
When he arrived, people "in a fine way" accused him to have

By Faith and by Spoken words
God wants to learn us how to receive from him by faith and by
our spoken words. This is valid for various needs and wishes,
even when it comes to receiving of healing.
Heb 11:1

anything.’
8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread be-

religious (fleshy) teaching on healing, which undermines/steals
the faith from people in a needy situation which God wants to
meet.

be healthy. And God wants even more for that his children are
healthy, and he has shown his will clearly in the bible and in
the actual ministry of Jesus.
