Don´t hinder the Children

A word spoken to children and staff at the orphanage
I support in India, Feb 10 2018.

Jesus said;

Mark 10:13-16
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his
hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw
this, he was indignant.

He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not
hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
like a little child will never enter it.”

And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them
and blessed them.

So, this is obviously a message to both children and
grown-ups;

While Jesus rebuked and teached the disciples, at the
same time he lifted the children in his arms and
BLESSED them.

Jesus loved his disciples, but here felt he really needed
to adjust them in a very important question.

I think the strong blessing by Jesus then followed these
children in life.

And I think the disciples were corrected for their own
good.

Jesus was also very harsh and warning about deceiving
children;

Luke 17:1-2
"Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are
bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.

It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a mill-
stone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these
little ones to sin.

Reading positively, this is a strong call to raise children
in the ways of God.

Jesus wants to bless children. He wants to heal children
physically, there are bible examples;

Matt 9:18-19, 23-26
"While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt
Before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and
put your hand on her, and she will live.” Jesus got up and
went with him, and so did his disciples.

When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the
noisy crowd and people playing pipes, he said, “Go away. The
girl is not dead but asleep.”

But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside,
he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.  News
of this spread through all that region."

Jesus also wants to heal children from wounds in their
hearts, for having not been loved by parents the way
they deserve, or even being abandoned.

So, the Gospel of Jesus is the good news for everyone,
especially for the children. Jesus is the children´s
friend.

Everyone need Jesus, young and old, tall or short. No-
one comes around dealing with this wonderful man
from Galilee.

There is no way to heaven except through Jesus.
Children also need to hear this. It makes it so easy
for us all.

John 14:6
"Jesus said; I am the way the truth and the life. Noone
comes to the Father except through me".

There is one door into God´s house. And we all now
we are supposed to use the door, not the windows.

We need to enter God´s house through the Door.
And Jesus, God´s Son, said he is the door to God´s
house.

I John 10:8-11
"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They
will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes
only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full.“I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep..

It is not because God is harsh that there is just one
way to him. No - there was only one way for God to solve
the problem. God´s own Son, Jesus, must die for us, in
our place, on the cross.

No-one else died for us, for our sin, not in any other
religion. The other religions have no good answer on how
we shall deal with our sins.

So, that is why there is one door, but a very beautiful
door! And a very beautiful home!

And we are all so welcome - through the door. God has
longed for us. Now we can communicate with him in
prayer - one day he takes us to heaven!

Even small children can feel that they make wrong things,
and we must teach the children about what Jesus did for
them, and how they can come to Jesus and receive both
the forgiveness from God and his fatherly love! We are
all invited into his knee!

I think children sometimes may be more pure at hear
than grown-ups, that is why Jesus says that we all need
to become as children.

When we are pure at heart, we are on same wave-lenght
as God, and we can easily hear God´s voice in our hearts.
While grown-ups may not always understand.

I am sure that God wants to talk to children even from
early age, and he can even use children powerfully in
their early age.

1 Sam 3:1-10

Psalms 8:2
"Through the praise of children and infants you have established a
stronghold against your enemies, to silence the enemy and
the avenger".

Can I tell about myself, when I was at a very young age?

When I was about 6 years old I missed my dad so much,
because he had died. He was often travelling, but when at
home he used to pray the evening prayer with me.

I remember one time where I cried so much on my bed.
But, then suddenly - I felt so comforted, like my dad was
actually there, with me..

I did not have anyone telling me so much about Jesus in
the necessary details so that I could come to know him and
receive him in my heart as my Lord.

Later, still at young age, when I came to know Jesus I
understood that it was Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, that
actually comforted me at that occasion.

When I look at your work with the orphanage and all old
mom´s, I see a role-model from God.

Personally I got very attracted when I came to know pastor
Marpu to be a man of God, and I understood the model of
the work here at the orphanage;

The bible says;

Zech 7:1
"Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor.

Ps 68:5
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in his holy
dwelling."

This, combined with the fire pastor Marpu has to preach
the gospel, makes me feel that the work stand solid on what
is on God´s heart.

I can see that you children can help each other. Elderly can
help younger - with the help of Jesus. He´s always with you!

And the older ladies can give you motherly love. And I know
pastor Marpu has a huge father-heart!

It makes me so glad to come and visit you all here, and I
will continue to stand with you in prayer and support.
